An established industry player is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead technical operations at a park. The Assistant Manager will oversee the day-to-day technical and maintenance aspects of a park, ensuring the safety and optimal functioning of rides and facilities. Additionally, you will be responsible for any planning and managing of projects pertaining to technical and facilities aspects.
Direct and inspire a multidisciplinary technical team to ensure optimal performance of park equipment and systems
Develop and execute comprehensive preventive maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and enhance asset longevity
Oversee inspections, repairs and inventory management to maintain operational readiness
Ensure full compliance with all safety regulations, industry standards and environmental sustainability practices
Collaborate with contractors, vendors and regulatory authorities to manage projects, inspections and approvals with precision
Monitor emerging industry advancements, integrating innovative technologies to elevate operational efficiency
Qualifications and Other Requirements
Bachelor's Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
Minimum 5 years of experience in technical services, construction, or water park environment
Expertise in regulatory compliance, project management and the implementation of robust safety protocols
Proficiency in organisational planning, analytical reasoning and complex problem-solving
Good communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to present to senior stakeholders and effectively address inquiries from contractors and clients
Comprehensive knowledge of workplace safety and health practices.
Competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) at an intermediate level or higher
Ability to work independently and supervise a team
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Able to meet tight deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
