Job Title: Production Engineer
Reporting To: Production Manager
Location: Jurong Island (Company transport provided from Jurong East)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Compensation: Site Allowance: $200 | AWS & Variable Bonus
About the Role:
We are looking for a Production Engineer with strong operational experience and a solid foundation in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE). This role focuses 80% on overseeing daily production activities and 20% on ensuring HSE compliance. The ideal candidate will have a background in the chemical industry and be passionate about driving safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Operations (80%)
Lead daily production activities to meet safety, quality, and output targets.
Collaborate with logistics and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.
Identify and troubleshoot process inefficiencies and propose improvements.
Participate in plant modifications and support project implementation.
Health, Safety & Environment (20%)
Support and implement HSE initiatives across production and project sites.
Conduct risk assessments, including HAZOP and MOC processes for new or modified operations.
Maintain and update emergency response and disaster prevention plans.
Review safety observations and follow up on high-risk items with action plans.
Promote a safety-first culture and support HSE-related training or audits.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
At least 2–3 years of experience in the chemical or process industry.
Sound understanding of local HSE regulations and compliance requirements.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
