Job description

Position: Community Engagement Executive

Location: Geylang

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Office Hours

Monthly Salary: up to $4,500 per month

Contract Type: Full-Time, 11 Months Contract

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Community Development Councils (CDCs) in stakeholder engagement and outreach efforts, including venue owners, grassroots organisations, and partner agencies.

  • Coordinate with internal teams and partners to identify, secure, or procure venues, logistics, and performances for events and initiatives.

  • Collaborate with the CDCs and core communications team to manage publicity and promotional efforts.

  • Collect and compile relevant data and human interest stories from engagements, surveys, and community interactions for reporting and analysis.

  • Liaise with government agencies and community partners to ensure smooth execution of programmes.

  • Handle procurement processes and prepare Statements of Account (SOAs) for reimbursement from MCCY.

  • Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for programme effectiveness and reporting.

  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned to support programme implementation and coordination.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in community engagement, events coordination, or public sector project support.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across different levels and backgrounds.

  • Strong organisational and coordination abilities, with experience in handling logistics, venue management, and event planning.

  • Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to track KPIs, manage data collection, and support reporting needs.

  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with survey tools and data tracking platforms is a plus.

  • Familiarity with procurement processes and government financial procedures, including raising Statements of Account (SOAs).

  • Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Prior experience working with grassroots, community groups, or government agencies is advantageous.

  • Positive attitude, proactive mindset, and willingness to take on ad-hoc tasks as needed.
