A leading university is seeking an HR Business Partner to support the School of Computing. The role involves managing a full spectrum of HR functions, including talent acquisition and employee relations. The Team
Come and join the teams of dedicated and committed HR Business Partners that support the mission of the School of Computing.
The Scope
You will partner and support the business line heads and managers to handle, in a proactive and consultative approach, a full spectrum of HR functions which includes Talent Acquisition, Campus Visits, Staff Retention, Compensation, performance appraisals, as well as talent management and development.
Duties and Responsibilities
Partnership
Partner and support the business line heads and managers to handle, in a proactive and consultative approach, a full spectrum of HR functions which includes Talent Acquisition, Staff Retention, Compensation and performance appraisals, as well as talent management and development
Partner the Centres of Excellence (COE) in reviewing, developing, implementing and administering the rewards and benefits programmes of the University.
Contact point for employee relations issues, provide accurate assessment of situations and provide HR advice to business units.
Other ad-hoc tasks/projects as assigned
Coaching, Supervision and Project Responsibilities
Make decisions within areas of responsibilities
Able to multitask and manage the workload during peak periods and plan for appropriate backup resources
Lead process review projects and participate in improvement projects.
Generate improvement ideas and translate them into plans and actions.
Qualifications
At least 4 years’ experience as HR business partner, ideally in higher education or research sector.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to relate well with people at all levels and good service orientation
High IT literacy and strong numerical and analytical skills
Good command of written and spoken English language
Resourceful and self-driven with high degree of professional integrity
University degree, preferably with additional specialist qualification in Human Resource Management
Strong influencing and collaborating skills, with demonstrable ability to work across various HR teams and with staff at all levels
Strong people management skills
Positive work attitude and a keen learner with a “can-do” mind set
Team Player, able to consider the interest of the team and the University
Meticulous, able to work well under pressure and commitment to meeting tight deadlines.
