About the Role

The incumbent plays a critical core technical role in designing custom technology solutions to business problems that meet enterprise requirements. You will work independently with strong technical expertise to propose practical solutions. Influencing skills are essential to resolve conflicts and manage stakeholders across business and IT. You should be able to think laterally, grasp key concepts quickly, maintain a positive attitude, and be resilient when facing challenges.

As a technical SME, you will coach and develop future-ready Technical Architect (TA) talents internally to reduce enterprise resource dependency.

The Principal in Integral Life Delivery Management is responsible for leading the end-to-end software development process, with strong knowledge of life insurance business and IL technicalities. Leadership, initiative, and teamwork are crucial to collaborate effectively with other technology teams.

Deep understanding of technologies like SMART and AS400 is expected. Solution architects collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and other IT professionals to create cohesive and efficient systems.

What You Will Do
  • Partner with stakeholders to evaluate, solution, and implement new initiatives within the AS400/Integral Life system.
  • Oversee alignment of all technology solutions with existing enterprise and system architecture.
  • Own solution design and provide technical leadership within the AS400/Integral Life delivery teams.
  • Identify pain points, risks, and issues related to solutions and take appropriate actions.
  • Ensure system integrity of the AS400/Integral Life systems.
  • Adhere to architecture principles, conduct design reviews, and define technology stacks and quality procedures.
  • Design, plan, develop (including coding and assigning tasks), and document change initiatives.
  • Lead and mentor team members to develop internal technical capabilities, reducing resource dependency risks.
  • Ensure solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Engage in initiatives related to security, compliance, and system resilience.
  • Deliver quality technology solutions and alignments.
  • Apply best practices to improve products and services.
  • Manage resources and capacity planning.
  • Solve complex problems and provide innovative perspectives.
  • Assess customer needs and requirements, and propose solutions for non-standard requests.

What You Should Have
  • Degree in Business, Insurance Studies, IT, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of life insurance functions such as Life Administration, Actuarial, Policy servicing, Claims, Agency Admin/Commission, and Finance.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Life Insurance/Integral Life systems.
  • Experience in life insurance product implementation and knowledge of life insurance products.
  • Experience with Integral Life system setup, IT project management, business analysis, and organizational change.
  • Experience working at mid to senior levels in large organizations.
  • Professional qualifications like CII, LOMA, AII, ICA, or related are advantageous.
  • Deep expertise in your discipline and awareness of related costs.
  • Strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and good interpersonal skills.
