Job description

Our client is a well-established organization in the trading industry. With a strong focus on operational excellence and sustainable practices, they are looking for a dynamic Finance Manager to lead and optimize their financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain the full set of accounts for the company.
2. Responsible for all aspects of the accounting and financial functions of the company.
3. Process payroll, employee expense claims, statutory contributions, and government reimbursements.
4. Monitor and manage foreign currency exposure.
5. Prepare and manage monthly financial statements, management reports, and cash flow forecasts independently.
6. Prepare IR8A forms for employees to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance.
7. Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to ensure financial stability.
8. Build relationships with banks, focusing on establishing credit lines and managing trade financing.
9. Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and other stakeholders during audits and year-end closing.
10. Analyze the financial performance of the company and provide recommendations for improvement.
11. Review financial procedures, internal controls, and business processes/systems to ensure effective controls are in place.
12. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support overall financial planning and decision-making.
13. Handle any ad hoc accounting and finance tasks as required by management.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA/ACCA/MBA preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a financial management role, preferably in the shipping, maritime, or logistics industry.
• Strong knowledge of international accounting standards and financial regulations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
