Vessel Manager - Bulk, Singapore

Job Accountabilities / Key Responsibilities

• Manages vetting, PSC and Class performance. Ensure compliance with all relevant international and local regulations and that all vessel certification and surveys for class, flag and international requirements are compiled and maintained. Ensures implementation, follow up and follow through on all corrective/preventive actions.
• Reviews and approves the procurement of all ship-spares and services to be provided to assigned vessels with support from the Procurement Team.
• Researches technical information related to equipment breakdowns and proposes holistic solutions that will improve the long-term performance in the assigned vessels.
• Monitors and analyses ship performance.
• Works with the Commercial and Operations team to ensure compliance with charter-party terms of employment and other commercial concerns.
• Prepares budgets for the yearly operation of assigned ships, surveys, repairs and ad-hoc services/ship-spares within required timelines.
• Monitors and keeps track of expenses of assigned vessels against the budget assigned.

Requirements

• Preferably holding a Class I, Chief Engineer Certificate or any mechanical/electrical engineering degree.
• Required shore-based experience handling vessels.
• Naval Architecture / Marine Engineering and relevant sailing time.
