Job description

THE ROLE:

We are seeking an experienced CEO to lead innovative workforce development initiatives, particularly focused on IoT applications in field settings. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the software and IoT sectors, especially in Southeast Asia, Korea, Taiwan, Japan, China, and India, and will be passionate about building inclusive training programs.

The Director will coordinate strategies, partnerships, and programs to secure funding, enhance the company's reputation in IoT, and support member companies in attracting, training, and retaining a diverse workforce. This role will involve overseeing workforce development partnerships and collaborating with employers, training providers, and other stakeholders to promote career awareness and skills development.

The CEO will help guide broader strategic goals, including piloting regional programs and building capacity to support the growing IoT field. Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills are essential.

This full-time position reports to the Executive Director.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in workforce development, especially in cloud, firmware and IoT arena
• Strategic planning and project management expertise
• Knowledge of regional ( Asia Pacific ) workforce systems in global markets
• Familiarity with funding opportunities base on IoT, cloud and software engineering company
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Cultural competence in global regions
• Ability to travel internationally (~30%)
