Autism Resource Centre (Singapore) (ARC(S)) is a non-profit charity organization dedicated to serving individuals on the autism spectrum throughout their lives. Based in Singapore, ARC(S) offers a range of services and resources tailored to meet the growing concerns and needs of the autism community, including the Employability and Employment Centre (E2C).

The team at Employability and Employment Centre (E2C) is responsible for providing a structured program for job training and job placement for individuals with autism.

As a Job Coach, your impact and contributions include:
  1. Client assessment & coaching
    • Conduct site assessments of clients' employability strengths and gaps.
    • Observe clients' work performance at training and in jobs to identify strengths and gaps.
    • Develop and implement individualized coaching plans using autism-friendly strategies to close employability gaps in hard and soft skills for clients.
  2. Collaboration with Key Stakeholders
    • Collaborate with employers to understand and analyze the job scope and responsibilities of clients.
    • Identify and implement workplace support for clients.
    • Report clients' training and coaching progress to key stakeholders.
    • Perform job shadowing of new responsibilities assigned to clients.
    • Engage partner employers to support and sustain clients' work performance.
Requirements
  • Advanced Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Sociology, Health Services, Education, or related fields is preferred.
  • Able to travel to offsite work locations, e.g., employer sites, possibly multiple locations in a day.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Desire to learn about autism and a passion to help individuals with special needs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
