Part-Time Lecturer for Information Visualization—DD0003

The School of Art, Design and Media (ADM) at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, invites qualified candidates to apply as a Part-time Lecturer for Information Visualization—DD0003. The Part-time Lecturer is expected to teach an undergraduate course commencing in January 2025.

DD0003 Information Visualization is a 13-week introductory course that introduces students to the fundamental concepts of information visualization. Students explore visual design techniques to interpret, organize, and present visual data. The course aims to help students understand how complex information can be communicated effectively through visualization, fostering greater empathy and understanding among audiences.

Successful candidates will have a

  • Masters and/or PhD in Design, Art, or related fields, with a proven track record of creative practice. Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level is preferred.
  • Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in Information Visualization or Design Art, coupled with relevant industry experience, may also be considered in exceptional cases.
