Mechanical & Electrical Coordinator

Job Responsibilities:

· Liaise with consultants, client and authorities on all mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) matters.

· Work with BIM team to get the model ready for construction. Cross check BIM model with contract drawings.

· Carry out drawing review and coordination among various disciplines within the purview of MEP incorporating into the civil / structural and architectural.

· Review of shop drawing / materials / MOS submitted by subcontractors.

· Assist MEP Engineer to manage the documentation and submittals.

· Review of contract documents and have clear understanding of scope of works.

· Review of subcontract documents and scope of works.

· To conduct pre-inspection with subcontractors prior to calling for RE/RTO inspections.

· Arrange and facilitate RE/RTO inspections.

· To ensure site works are carried out according to daily / weekly site coordination schedule.

· Monitoring of VOs and issue back charges in a timely manner.

· To attend sub-con meetings and technical meetings for MEP related matters

· Prepare the site for RI (M&E) and TOP inspections.

· In charge for MEP materials selection / presentation, sample board submission, conducting trade demos and shop drawings submission. Follow up for reviews comments from consultants / client.

· Take lead in as-built drawings and submission of O&M.

· Handing over to Client.

· Assessment of sub-cons claims / progress claims.

· Ensure work activities are carried out in safe working environment.

· Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Immediate Supervisor/ Management.

Job Requirements:

· Degree/Diploma in Electrical & Mechanical Engineering/ Building Service. Specialist Diploma in M&E Coordination and BIM/VDC will be an advantage.

· Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience, experience in HDB Project preferred.

· Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.

· An independent, also be able to work in team, can cope in a fast-paced environment, highly motivated and a good team player.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office and use of BIM would be an advantage.

Candidates with more experience will be considered for more senior positions.
