Job description

Psychology, Counselling & Social Work (Healthcare & Medical)

The Executive Director will work closely with the Senior Divisional Director (SDD) / Divisional Director (DD) and Family Service (FS) Heads to assess and address issues affecting the division/ organization. He/She will oversee operations of the centres, providing executive direction for program strategies and efficiencies, compliance, and quality assurance; identify and address staffing requirements for efficient operations, and maintain a strong work culture that attracts and retains people while driving the organisation’s mission; and ensure compliance with all regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out the mission and vision of the organisation.
  • Supervise staff to ensure that the centre meets requirements set by MSF or any other ministries.
  • Direct the planning and implementation of new programmes.
  • Analyse trends and needs of services and identify services for development.
  • Recruit personnel and develop competent staff through supervision and ensuring opportunities for professional growth.
  • Ensure orientation and training programmes for the administrative support staff and volunteers are carried out according to guidelines.
  • Oversee and streamline processes to achieve efficiency and effectiveness of the centre.
  • Establish and ensure that proper processes and Standard Operating Procedures are set up in accordance to the Service Standard Requirements.
  • Manage and be accountable for the annual operating budget of the agency to achieve optimum use of resources for the agency.
  • Implement policies and plans adopted by the Board of Management to achieve effectiveness of the centre.
  • Ensure that operations are carried out professionally and according to agreed performance benchmarks.
  • Manage resources prudently within approved budget guidelines set by management.
  • Develop publicity plans to maintain the organisation’s public standing and image.
  • Network with government bodies and other stakeholders towards excellence in service provision and community development.
  • Develop marketing and branding plans for organisation.
  • Oversee supervision, development and welfare of staff.
  • Report to the Programme and Service Committee (PSC), Board of Management and MSF periodically on the progress and results of the work of the centre/ division.
  • Develop the mission and vision of the organisation and ensuring that they are achieved.
  • Report to the FSC Board of Management on changes that will enhance the services of the organisation.
  • Set strategic directions for the centre/ division in accordance to the mission and vision.
  • Formulate and develop strategic plans at organisational level.
  • Outcome Management.
  • Undertake any other responsibilities and duties assigned.

Qualification

  • A Degree in Social Work or related discipline & Diploma in Management.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory and service planning capacity.
  • Prior working experience in Social Service sector is preferred.
  • Possess strong leadership, analytical, problem solving and planning skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage various stakeholders.
