An established healthcare provider is seeking a Patient Service Associate to enhance patient experience in the Urgent Care Centre. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service, managing patient admissions and discharges, and providing essential support to medical staff. Ideal candidates will be team players with strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This is a 2-year contract position with potential for extension or permanent placement, offering a dynamic work environment where your contributions will directly impact patient care and satisfaction.
As a Patient Service Associate in our Urgent Care Centre (UCC), you will deliver friendly and efficient customer service and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all internal and external customers / patients, with the key aim of providing excellent patient care and satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities
Handle admission and discharge processes, which includes financial counselling, payment, monitoring of bed request status ensure proper registration of personal records of patients without compromising any data and safety breaches.
Making internal and external appointments for patients as per ordered by doctors.
Ensure UCC’s operational and procedural area readiness based on desired service standards.
Provide basic financial counselling to patient and next-of-kin when requested.
Attend to any patient and next-of-kin enquiries.
Provide chaperone assistance to doctors/nurses.
Perform any other ad-hoc duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements
Minimum GCE “O” Levels qualification or equivalent.
Proficient in computer skills (Microsoft Office), handling multiple systems such as SAP will be an advantage.
Team player with good communication, customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to speak a second language will be an advantage.
Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Candidates should be comfortable/flexible with working in a hospital setting and in different clinics when needed. Prior experience in hospitality or service industries will be an advantage.
Working schedule: 5 days’ work week (Monday to Sunday, inclusive of Public Holidays), on 3 rotating shifts (morning, afternoon and midnight).
This is a 2-year contract role, subjected to contract extension or permanent conversion with satisfactory work performance.
