Description
This leading global commodity trading house is active in the production and trading of oil, coal, natural gas, and renewables, leveraging its extensive global infrastructure to influence market dynamics. Due to internal mobility, an exciting opportunity has opened for an LPG Operations Executive to join a high-performing trading desk based in Singapore.
Role
Reporting to the Head of Operations, the LPG Operations Executive will work closely with traders to ensure the smooth execution of cargo operations. Responsibilities include accurately and promptly communicating cargo nominations to all relevant parties to prevent delays or miscommunications. The role also involves regular coordination with terminals and counterparties to ensure that product loadings occur on schedule and in line with contractual agreements. Additionally, the Executive will review and counter contracts based on detailed deal recaps to ensure alignment with agreed terms. A sound understanding of trade finance and billing processes is essential to ensure accurate and timely execution. The role also includes maintaining and updating operational data in internal systems to support accurate analysis and reporting.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Maritime Studies or a related discipline, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in LPG operations. A strong understanding of end-to-end cargo operations, logistics, and inventory management is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders. The candidate must also be able to perform well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, demonstrating adaptability and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
