Job description

Our client, an established A1 Main Contractor, is looking for candidates for the position of HR Officer (Construction).

Job Description:
  1. Recruitment: Manage the recruitment process, including posting job advertisements, liaising with employment agencies, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews with hiring managers and candidates. Conduct negotiations, onboarding, and induction programs for new hires. Document new hire information, such as crafting offer letters, creating personal files, onboarding checklists, and related forms.
  2. Migrant Workers Dormitory Management: Responsible for payment and distribution of dormitory fees in accordance with project sites. Assist with documentation of dormitory movements (transfers, home leave, repatriation). Manage dormitory leases, track expiration dates, handle renewals or terminations, and negotiate rental rates.
  3. Onboarding: Welcome new employees, provide company regulations and policies, introduce company systems and software, and facilitate integration into the team through mentorship.
  4. Staff and Workers Medical Support: Manage PCP subscriptions for work pass and work permit holders. Assist with annual health screenings, coordinate clinic visits, and manage payments.
  5. General Workers Management: Handle requests such as work permit applications, security bonds, and dormitory room allocations. Prepare renewal forms, follow up with site admins, coordinate medical exams, and manage related documentation.
  6. Work Pass Applications: Process new and renewal applications for work passes.
  7. Staff Welfare: Participate in company events, team-building activities, career fairs, and wellness programs.
  8. Payroll: Process workers' payroll, including wages, overtime, and deductions.
Job Requirements:
  • Diploma/Degree in HR, Business Administration, or relevant disciplines
  • Minimum 3 years of experience, preferably in the building & construction industry
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Familiar with Singapore payroll systems (EPE and EASYTIME advantageous)
