Job description

Role Purpose: To effectively manage (plan, organise, coach/direct, co-ordinate and control) the functions associated with the site to meet safety, quality, operational, sustainability, customer service (including export logistics), and production costs in line with VIS OGSM and site targets, whilst contributing strategically to the future planning of the Singapore site.

Process Excellence
  1. Oversee manufacturing function, including stock & inventory.
  2. Effective deployment and achievement of site initiatives.
  3. Identify and drive continuous process improvement across manufacturing, maintenance & quality.
  4. Manage internal & external suppliers (services, raw and packaging materials).
Safety
  1. Lead and monitor safe work culture, reporting near misses, and ensuring people take accountability for their safety and the safety of others, including the wearing of appropriate protective equipment, identifying safety issues, action close outs, and sufficient training of team members.
  2. Ensure all plant, equipment, and substances are used and maintained safely.
Quality
  1. Drive a quality culture through best practice assurance and controls.
  2. Sponsor improvement plans for any quality indices: CPMUS, Waste, Consumer/Customer complaints.
  3. Ensure all NPD is DIFOT.
Stakeholders
  1. Responsible for agile and adaptable manufacturing facilities to meet the reasonable requirements of our sales and marketing team, along with our customer and consumer demands, within budget and delivering commercial targets.
  2. Responsible for sustainability improvements having a positive impact within the community/environment (e.g., water savings, waste reduction, packaging improvements).
Culture
  1. Actively pursue the creation of a working environment (culture) that realizes improved productivity and job satisfaction, as measured by Towers Watson internal survey and annual development review process (PMS) as per Vitasoy Group procedures and policy.
  2. Actively drive the Vitasoy People Processes to ensure 100% team completion within agreed timeframes.
  3. Actively support building capability.
