Job summary

A leading precision gut microbiome company in Singapore is seeking a Research Executive to assist in validation studies, execute lab experiments, and perform quality control testing. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Biotechnology or Life Sciences and proficiency in basic laboratory techniques. This role requires good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Biotechnology, Life Sciences or similar discipline.
• Prior experience in a biomedical or microbiology laboratory preferred.

Position: Research Executive
Location: Singapore (Onsite)
Type: Full-time
Reports to: Research Lead

We operate two arms – AMILI Health (consumer-facing, via healthcare partners) and AMILI Analytics (scientific and B2B services).

Job Scope:

• Assist in planning and performing validation studies to assess new workflows and technologies
• Execute lab experiments according to both established and new protocols
• Perform quality control testing on live biotherapeutic products
• Communicate cross-department to track logistics and progression of assigned research projects
• Provide administrative support when required
• Assist the Lab Operations with daily sample processing when required
• Other ad-hoc as required

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Biotechnology, Life Sciences or similar discipline. Diploma with prior research or industry experience can also be considered
• Prior experience in a biomedical or microbiology laboratory is preferred, but not essential
• Proficiency in basic laboratory techniques (aseptic technique, micropipette use, BSC and centrifuge usage) is essential
• Good interpersonal, problem-solving, verbal and written communication to collaborate with diverse teams
• Detail-oriented and proactive in identifying and solving problems
• Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team
• Self-driven, resourceful and highly motivated
• Have an interest in the microbiome field; be able to understand scientific articles
