A leading asset management firm is seeking a Data Platform Lead to design and build a next-generation data infrastructure. This role involves enabling advanced analytics and machine learning capabilities while ensuring data governance and compliance. Ideal candidates will have experience in financial services and proficiency in Python and SQL.
We are seeking a Data Platform Lead to design and build the next-generation data infrastructure at a leading Asset Management firm. In this critical role, you will be responsible for enabling advanced analytics and machine learning capabilities by developing a secure, scalable, and cloud-native data platform. You will work closely with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure the smooth ingestion, transformation, and governance of data across the organization.
Responsibilities:
Your core responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and infrastructure to support business and analytical needs. You will architect data solutions on the cloud, implement ETL/ELT workflows, and ensure that the platform adheres to the highest standards of reliability, performance, and security. You will also manage metadata and data lineage to support transparency and regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you should have experience building and maintaining enterprise-grade data platforms, ideally within the financial services or asset management sector. Proficiency in Python and SQL is essential, and knowledge of additional programming languages such as Java or C++ is a plus. You should have hands-on experience working with cloud environments-with a preference for Google Cloud Platform (GCP), though AWS or Azure experience is also valuable. Strong understanding of data architecture, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data security best practices is required. Familiarity with managing metadata and ensuring data lineage is also important.
