The Customer Service Assistant is responsible for supporting department objectives by entering and retrieving data through custom or other software to provide an optimal customer experience.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Performs data entry accurately and efficiently using various computer programs, word processing, spreadsheet, or database commands; formats material as required.
  2. Proofs material entered and generates data reports as required; reviews discrepancies in data received, requests clarification or advises supervisor of issues related to data, to verify customer requests are processed correctly.
  3. Files, keeps records, and prepares/transmits/sorts/distributes faxes, mail, e-mail, and reports as needed.
  4. Promotes and maintains high standards of quality and service excellence.
  5. Processes work in a timely manner and meets daily productivity objectives; displays a sense of urgency while achieving quality and productivity goals.
  6. Understands and can correctly work with multiple currencies and other requirements regarding processing international orders.
  7. Demonstrates effective time management and planning/organizing skills.
  8. Self-motivated and results-oriented.
  9. Interacts effectively with individuals and groups both inside and outside the organization, working well as a team contributor.
  10. Maintains a high level of commitment to achieve goals.
  11. Performs effectively independently or as part of a team.
  12. Possesses strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills, and analyzes the impact of decisions before execution.
  13. Supports local Customer Service teams and provides support for other teams when needed.
  14. Provides Chat support as required, in local language plus other required languages.
  15. Maintains regular attendance at work.
  16. Adapts to changing situations and restructures tasks and priorities accordingly.
  17. Works well under pressure of deadlines.
  18. Supports and participates in the company's total quality and customer service expectations.
  19. Maintains trustworthiness and confidentiality.
  20. Performs other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Professional verbal and written communication in the local language (minimum), including in a telephone environment. Additional languages may be required.
  • Fluent reading and writing in English.
  • Ability to type data for long periods.
  • Proficient typing and math skills.
  • Experience with PC in a Microsoft Windows environment, proficient with internet, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other software.
  • Ability to interpret spreadsheets, printed reports, and operate dual terminal screens.
  • Willingness to use telephone headsets.
  • Neat and legible handwriting.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years customer service or customer support experience.
