An established industry player is seeking a dynamic individual to join their Group Product Development team. This role focuses on driving strategic objectives through data analytics and collaboration across markets. This role will be responsible for providing the Group Product Development and Management team with analytics, data, and information necessary to drive the strategic objectives on category review. He/she is to work collaboratively with stakeholders across all markets in developing and implementing group NPD strategies and compliance standards to ensure Eu Yan Sang meets current profitability objectives and achieve sustainable product life cycle management.
Strategic Development
Support the development of strategy and plans to drive growth within the region with a focus on category/ subcategory development based on actionable insights.
Support in the recommendation of tailored category plans in line with overall market strategy.
Ensure needs for growth in focused categories are represented in NPD pipeline.
Support in championing the flow of group product pipeline and group product portfolio to different markets-specific growth strategies, including co-development initiatives to drive science-based innovation and partnership collaboration.
Collaborate with respective entity/country product, manufacturing and marketing departments to prioritize product pipeline, support the cross-functional teams in the development, design & delivery of new products.
Support in the recommendation of winning commercial propositions for the category/subcategory and effectively communicating these to BUs.
Support in streamlining and managing the product hierarchy for integration and maintaining a centralised database to ensure accuracy, traceability, and alignment with group product strategy.
Product Lifecycle Management
Active participation in thought-leadership of the newest trends in health & wellness/ TCM that EYS can make use of and commercialise.
Contribute towards the management of product lifecycle from conceptualisation, pricing, time-integrated plans for product introduction to measuring ROI of product post-launch.
Incorporating consumer learning into brand strategy and providing insight regarding to brand opportunities.
Support in driving a culture of consumer curiosity, insight generation and analytical thinking.
Market Intelligent and Insight
Active involvement in analysing key information about consumer, industry, stakeholders and competitive landscape to find white space for category expansion.
Leverage global Insights and other data sources to identify and size high growth category opportunities.
Analyse market data and distil implications into actionable insights.
Work with external insight expertise to lead research for focused category opportunities and provide guidance on consumer expected product experience for high growth opportunities.
Stay abreast of competitor activity within focused categories.
Quality and Process Management
Support in process mapping exercises and cross-BU collaboration to streamline and harmonise the quality management system.
Contribute to the documentation and development of standardised procedures and practices aligned with quality and audit readiness goals.
Enhance group-wide ways of working to support compliance, quality, risk management, and operational excellence across the product value chain.
Other Supporting Role
Collaborate with cross functional teams and BUs to continuously improve best practise innovation.
Support the efficient execution of commercial project and being equally comfortable with developing business cases to get the project up and running.
Supports the Group Product Development and Management team in preparation of reports and Board presentation.
Education
Minimum Degree in Food Science/ Nutrition/ Life Sciences or business background with relevant experience on consumer goods, like VDS, nutritional food and/or personal care product.
Skills, Knowledge and Relevant Experience
1 to 2 years of experience for Executive role.
3 to 4 years of experience for Senior Executive role in innovation/ compliance audit/ NPD launches/ brand/ category management role in a regional level, preferably with experience in consumer health industry (Nutrition, OTC, health food industries etc).
Prior experience in project management or product life cycle management is preferred.
Scientific knowledge is essential and a keen ability to quickly learn and understand key TCM principles and terminology is preferred.
Attention to detail with an analytical mind and inclination to problem solving and having the ability to analyse large datasets with analytical tools and write reports.
A natural potential leader that understands how to influence decisions and drive toward resolution, regardless of their role.
An analytic problem solver that enjoys generating ideas, but is equally committed to seeing them through, designing and implementing plans that transform those ideas into tangible results.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese. Fluency in Cantonese would be an advantage.,
