Job description

You must have a strong desire to execute SembWaste’s vision towards zero waste and resource circularity, by providing clients with the strategy, concepts and insights, analytical techniques, implementation capabilities, and thought leadership to understand, address, and operate their businesses successfully.

  • Lead and support business development, pipeline planning and growth for the Clean Stream & Waste Advisory business.
  • Manage a range of circular economy projects, either as a technical specialist in support of a wider team or as the Project Manager managing team, delivery, technical oversight, budget and programme.
  • Be responsible for all aspects of assigned engagements, including solutions development, project management, techno-economic analysis, data analysis, client training.
  • Be an active participant in industry groups and have a well-established network with executives within the waste industry.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience, preferably in the circular economy-related consulting industry.
  • Degree in Engineering or Science fields, preferably Chemical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Material Science and Engineering/ Environmental Engineering.
  • Understanding financial metrics such as profitability, revenue, overhead costs and project finance.
  • Experience in facilitating collaboration among cross-functional, highly technical teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform technical assessments including life cycle assessments, carbon accounting
  • Demonstrated ability to research, develop, and launch new market solutions, products or services.
  • Understand how to translate complex findings into executable strategic insights and recommendations for both executive and mid-management stakeholders.
  • Cognitive flexibility and intellectual curiosity.
  • Drive to develop business insights and new/creative ways of solving problems.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, start-up like environment where deliverables and tasks may frequently change.
