Director - Contract Logistics Procurement - APAC

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Contract Logistics Procurement to lead and execute strategic procurement initiatives across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. The role focuses on sourcing, cost optimization, and supply chain operational efficiency. Responsibilities include negotiating with suppliers, managing contracts, developing procurement processes, building robust vendor databases, ensuring compliance, and providing cost-effective procurement solutions.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Lead and develop the APAC procurement organization, establishing competence centers and standardized processes aligned with global standards.
  2. Drive strategic vendor management, including master agreements, performance monitoring, and building a comprehensive supplier database.
  3. Oversee end-to-end Contract Logistics procurement activities, including facilities, equipment (e.g., Racking, MHEs), and operational consumables.
  4. Implement procurement tools, reporting systems, and KPI tracking to enhance operational efficiency and transparency.
  5. Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations while driving cost-optimization initiatives.
  6. Provide strategic procurement leadership for customer onboarding projects and serve as procurement advisor across the APAC region.
  7. Manage procurement budgets and financial responsibilities, including AFE compliance and working capital optimization.
  8. Develop and execute risk mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity and supply chain resilience.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; procurement certifications (CSCP/CIPS) preferred.
  • 10+ years in facility and procurement management, preferably in a 3PL environment, with team management experience.
  • Proven experience in warehouse equipment sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiations.
  • Strong relationships with strategic industrial real estate brokers and landlords across Asia Pacific are advantageous.
  • Solid background in procurement compliance and stakeholder management.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in an additional APAC language is a plus.
  • Strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
  • Data-driven decision-making, with proficiency in MS Office and procurement software.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on compliance and cost optimization.
