Job Description:

  • Assist with Instruction: Provide assistance to the early intervention teacher during lessons, helping to implement educational plans and strategies tailored to each child's individual needs.
  • Support Individualized Learning: Work one-on-one or in small groups with children to reinforce lessons, support skill development, and encourage participation in activities as instructed by the teacher.
  • Provide Personal Care: Assist with personal care tasks such as feeding, toileting, and hygiene, ensuring the comfort and well-being of the children.
  • Promote Social Interaction: Facilitate social interactions between children, encouraging communication and cooperation in a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Create Learning Materials: Assist in preparing and organizing educational materials, resources, and activities that are appropriate for the developmental levels and needs of the children.
  • Manage Behavior: Employ positive behavior management techniques to create a calm and structured environment, helping children to develop appropriate social and behavioral skills.
  • Provide Emotional Support: Offer emotional support and encouragement to children, helping them build self-confidence and self-esteem.

Requirement

  • Minimum Diploma
  • Prior experience working with young children, especially those with special needs or developmental delays, is preferred.
  • Experience volunteering or working in educational settings, preschools, day care centers, or special education programs can be beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, teachers, and other team members.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to create a nurturing and supportive environment for children.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to meet the diverse needs of children with varying abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, including teachers, therapists, and other professionals.
