Air Export Manager | Up to $5.6k | HAWB + MAWB | Proficient in freight forwarding software | Changi

Working Location: Alps Ave (Changi)

Working hours: Mon-Fri 9am-5.30pm | Alt Sat 9am-1pm

Basic Salary: $4000-$5600

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Air Export Operations (Local team + Offshore Business Process Outsourcing [BPO] team in Manila) responsible for executing and handling full sets of export airfreight documentation including HAWB (House Air Waybill), MAWB (Master Air Waybill), invoices, packing lists, permits, and pre-alerts to destination offices / origin shippers.
• Manage a hybrid team of Export Operations and Customer Service for out-of-office hours and weekend activities (Critical Response Team - CRT).
• Oversee resource and manpower deployment, especially during weekends and Philippine holidays.
• Monitor flight schedules, cargo readiness, and ensure timely and accurate submission of all documentation.
• Ensure compliance with customs clearance procedures and export regulations.
• Track and trace export shipments, provide proactive updates to internal customers, and resolve delays or discrepancies.
• Prepare and verify export billing, ensure accurate costing, and handle supplier/network invoices and disputes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Support process re-engineering initiatives and handle ad hoc operational tasks alongside the Senior Operations Manager.
• Maintain knowledge and ensure compliance with international trade laws and regulations.
• Document and maintain records of all export transactions, ensuring accuracy in all databases and freight management systems.
• Assist in handling Air Freight Terminal matters and escalations.
• Participate in new customer onboarding and process implementation, including SOP maintenance.
• Train and coach new staff on export activities.

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in airfreight export operations.
• Strong knowledge of airfreight documentation, airline booking procedures, and customs/export regulations.
• Familiarity with Singapore customs procedures and systems (e.g., Tradenet, Cargo Community Network).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with freight forwarding software (e.g., CargoWise, Cargowise One, or equivalent).
