Job description

What the role is:

Looking for a job that actually makes a difference?
Join us at the forefront of shaping healthier lives.

The Health Promotion Board’s vision is to make Singapore a nation of healthier people.
Come be a part of this journey if you’re passionate about creating boundary-pushing work that drives behavioral change.

You will be part of HPB’s Strategic Planning & Collaborations (SPC) Division, which drives and guides the Board's direction in ensuring good health for the population by formulating strategies, monitoring their execution, and establishing strategic collaborations locally and internationally.

The SPC Division supports the CEO and leadership team in decision-making related to strategy, organizational performance, and accountability to the Board of Directors and the Ministry of Health. This includes shaping narratives and communications on the Board’s strategies, driving corporate planning processes, coordinating with the parent ministry and WOG, and collaborating with international partners to share best practices and benchmark Singapore’s efforts in health promotion and disease prevention.

Job Responsibilities

As a key member of the SPC Division, you will:

  1. Develop relationships and coordinate information exchange, engagements, and collaborations with HPB’s local and international partners (including MOH, WOG agencies, WHO, overseas health promotion foundations, and academia).
  2. Support secretariat duties and reporting to management, the Board of Directors, and MOH.
  3. Assist Division partners in corporate planning processes.

Specific activities include:

  • Manage relationships and coordinate information exchange and communications with HPB and MOH divisions.
  • Manage secretariat duties for key meeting platforms, including agenda setting, stakeholder coordination, and meeting administration.
  • Assess and coordinate engagements to promote HPB’s thought leadership at local and international platforms, including conferences, training programs, and visits, along with staff administrative and logistical preparations.
  • Coordinate and support study visits to align with strategy and business needs.
  • Assist Divisions in strategy execution, corporate planning, KPI monitoring, and reporting processes.

Job Requirements

Join us if you are a dynamic, highly motivated individual who is adaptable, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment, with at least 3 years of relevant experience in planning, collaboration, or public health.

You should also possess:

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information quickly.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels and working effectively both independently and in teams.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, uncertainty, and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Candidates with backgrounds in public health, international relations, business, economics, social sciences, or related fields are advantageous.
