Job description

Role Overview

As a Security Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security of IT environment. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), you will have the opportunity to contribute to strategic security planning while also maintaining hands-on responsibility for operational security tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and operate security tools such as vulnerability management, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR).
  • Act as the service manager for external Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs).
  • Investigate and triage security alerts, including phishing emails, DLP alerts and alerts raised by MSSPs.
  • Define and evaluate secure configuration baselines across SaaS, cloud, and on-premises systems.
  • Respond to and manage security incidents effectively to minimize impact.

Requirements & Skills

  • Minimum five years’ experience in security operations, penetration testing, or incident response.
  • A track record of self-led continuous learning - technology and threats evolve and you should want to and be able to stay ahead
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • Active Directory
    • Microsoft 365 (including Entra and Intune)
    • Azure environments
    • TCP/IP and Internet security protocols
    • Windows and Linux systems
  • Practical knowledge of MacOS is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • Ability to independently assess risks based on business needs rather than following rigid industry norms.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate security risks and requirements to diverse teams.
  • Relevant and recent certifications are welcomed but not mandatory.
