Job Description
The HR Advisor is responsible for fronting and the upkeep of employment relationships, while in the background, leading the simplification of HR work. This role involves providing expert guidance in matters relating to employee relations, ensuring fair and consistent resolution of workplace issues while fostering a culture of positivity and engagement. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of analytical thinking, operational acumen, problem solving, critical thinking and interpersonal skills to navigate diverse challenges effectively.
Employee Relations Management
- Investigate complex employee relations issues (grievances, ethics violations, policy breaches) and assist in timely effective resolution of critical industrial relations matters.
- Ensure investigations are thorough, objective, timely, and well-documented, with appropriate recommendations for resolution.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert to relevant stakeholders on a wide range of employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation
- Communicate effectively on employee relations matters, providing clear and concise information to relevant stakeholders.
Service Delivery & Efficiency
- Uphold high performance standards for efficient and effective HR advisory service delivery, embedding a metrics driven culture to track progress and outcomes.
- Develop, analyse and present reports to HR leadership on key employee and industrial relations metrics and insights.
Stakeholder Management And Communication
- Communicate effectively on employee relations matters, providing clear and concise information to relevant stakeholders.
Employee Relations Initiatives And Coaching
- Participate in HR projects related to employee relations, policy development, and organizational culture initiatives.
- Coach and mentor stakeholders on best practices in employee and industrial relations.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Business or HR or relevant qualifications with 7 years of HR experiences
- Proven experience and demonstrates strong understanding of HR functions
- Good knowledge of local employment legislation (Singapore employment laws)
- Detail-oriented, organised, with experience managing complex issues.
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Data-driven problem-solve and business analyst capability would be preferred.
- Creative and pragmatic, with experience improving HR processes
- Excellent stakeholders’ management, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
- Meticulous, good organizing and executional skills
- Self-starter, ability to multi-task and resilient in fast-paced environments against tight timelines with a team mindset.
