Responsibilities

About the team:
The Global Payment team is building a platform to provide cross-border payment solutions for all ByteDance's products and services, which are growing rapidly worldwide.

The Data Intelligence team in Global Payments leads efforts to discover data-driven business values by collecting, visualising, and mining data from the entire Global Payments system pipeline. Outcomes include optimizing key business metrics, improving products and user experiences, managing risks through data intelligence, and predicting trends from historical data.

We are looking for talented individuals to join the Data Analyst team for a 5-month contract position based in Singapore.

Responsibilities:

1. Support analysis requirements for Global Payments, such as ad-hoc reports, dashboard creation, and data tracking design.
2. Use data-driven techniques to identify weaknesses in payment products and proactively implement improvements.
3. Build data products to provide insights and best practices in the Payments domain for our customers.
4. Collaborate with Product and Operations teams to define system requirements, build data products, and roll out product features to support business growth.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields.
• Proficient in SQL; familiarity with C++, Java, or Golang is a plus.
• Experience with big data platforms such as Hive or Spark.
• Strong data analysis skills.
• Experience supporting and optimizing business needs through data analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Background in internet companies or payments is preferred.
• Strong interest in Data Analysis and Data Mining.
