Responsibilities:
- Vendor sourcing for construction materials from international and domestic markets
- Administer quotation and tender processes and review procurement documents as per University Procurement Policy and Procedures.
- Review and analyse all vendors/suppliers, supply and pricing options to generate quote comparison sheets
- Verify that bids are evaluated fairly, prepare recommendation reports for approval and award the bids in consultation with users.
- Maintain and update supplier information such as track record, experience, product lines etc.
Requirements:
- Master/Degree in business administration or related fields
- Minimum 11 years of relevant experience in procurement of main contractor company, preferably in infrastructure projects
- Knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policies and systems
- System and data management skills; especially Excel and SAP Procurement modules & related systems
- Ability to analyse problems and strategize for better solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Meticulous, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive, good team player & able to meet tight deadlines. Proven abilities in contract negotiation, administration and variations
