About the role

We are seeking a creative, experienced, energetic and strategically minded Packaging Design Manager to be part of our team. This role is responsible for the development and delivery of creative, cost effective design tailored to meet customer needs and business objectives. This role will be leading and managing all design & engineering related activities to meet business needs.

The successful candidate will be part of the design & engineering team and act as a key liaison with both internal stakeholders and external clients. A high degree of customer engagement is expected, with the ability to confidently represent the company in technical discussions, solution presentations, and collaborative design sessions.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead and manage the end-to-end design processacross multiple projects, focusing on the development of product presentation and unboxing experiences

• Act as the primary design liaison for key customer accounts, ensuring clear communication, alignment on goals, and the delivery of customized design solutions

• Translate customer insights, product requirements, and business objectives into practical and innovative design concepts

• Conduct and lead customer-facing design presentations, workshops, and reviews, showcasing professionalism and confidence

• Ensure compliance with customer and industry testing standards, supporting the necessary requirements throughout the design process

• Develop designs that meet customer-specific processes and fulfill product requirements with precision and creativity

• Oversee and mentor a design team, ensuring consistent output that aligns with brand vision and technical standards

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility, efficiency, and alignment with broader project goals

• Ensure all designs meet performance, compliance, and sustainability standards, integrating industry best practices

• Stay current with industry trends, emerging materials, and new technologies, applying this knowledge to continuously innovate and enhance design solutions

• Managing engineering related activities as well as developing engineering improvement initiatives

• Adhoc duties as assigned

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial, engineering design, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in industrial engineering design, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership role.

• Proven track record of delivering design solutions in a B2B environment.

• Strong customer-facing experience with the ability to engage, influence, and present with confidence at all organizational levels.

• Advanced knowledge of design tools and software (e.g., ArtiosCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, etc.).

• Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and supply chain considerations.
