Job Description: Sputtering Equipment Technician

Sputtering is at the core of our media process in a leading media recording organization. Join our dynamic team working in one of the world's largest state-of-the-art magnetic media manufacturing environments, characterized by highly automated processes and advanced control systems.

We are committed to delivering optimal equipment performance and operational objectives through effective maintenance, innovative technology, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities:
  1. Perform preventive maintenance and product conversion of sputtering tools.
  2. Troubleshoot equipment issues and follow up on persistent problems, including electrical and mechanical faults.
  3. Lead a team of technicians to maintain and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  4. Collaborate with equipment and process engineering teams to enhance tool reliability and reduce product defects.
  5. Initiate ideas for equipment productivity, safety improvements, and cost-saving projects.
  6. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure continuous improvement and stability of equipment.
Qualifications:
  • Positive attitude and adaptability.
  • Team player with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work in a clean room environment.
  • Comfortable working on 12-hour shift patterns.
  • Background in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to work independently.
Preferred Experience:
  • Relevant experience in predictive and preventive maintenance of equipment.
  • Experience with PLC controls, vacuum technology, and equipment maintenance is an advantage.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other teams for continuous improvement.
Work Environment:

Our Woodlands site in Singapore is one of the largest electronics manufacturing facilities, housing our recording media operations. It is accessible via bus or MRT, with amenities including an in-house gym, dance studio, and recreational activities like badminton and table tennis. We also host celebrations and community volunteer events.
