Job Description
The Assistant Manager (Tenant Acquisition) is responsible for identifying, negotiating, and securing suitable tenants for cooked food stalls in our food courts, coffee shops, hawker centres, and non-cooked stalls in markets. This role focuses on sourcing and engaging prospective tenants, coordinating site viewings, and assisting in lease negotiations and documentation. The position plays a vital role in helping the team meet occupancy targets and achieve an optimal tenant mix.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect, source and secure suitable tenants that fit into the desired food content and tenant mix for our food courts, coffee shops and hawker centres
- Arrange and attend to potential tenants for site visits / viewings
- Evaluate the prospective tenant’s proposal to make recommendation to approving parties for acceptance
- Negotiate and finalise rental and other terms and conditions with potential tenants
- Follow up on documentation and tenancy matters post-signing to ensure timely stall handover and opening
- Prepare regular reports and updates on tenant acquisition activities and vacancy status
- Maintain accurate records of leasing activity, tenant pipeline, and space availability
- Monitor competitor activities and rental trends to support pricing and positioning decisions
- Liaise with operations teams to support tenant onboarding and relationship management
Job Requirements
Preferred Qualifications And Skills
- Minimum 3 – 5 years of leasing, sales, or customer-facing experience, preferably in the F&B or retail sector
- Interest in local food culture and trends
- Proactive and self-motivated individual who is comfortable with outreach and coordination work
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
