Job description

Angle Recruitment has been exclusively appointed to search for a Deputy Newbuild Manager to join our client’s project team, overseeing multiple vessel construction projects from tender evaluation and plan approval through to construction, commissioning, and sea trials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in technical and commercial evaluations during the tender phase, including yard selection and contract review.
• Coordinate plan approval activities, liaising with design houses, classification societies, and internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the day-to-day management of yard construction progress, ensuring compliance with specifications, class rules, and build schedules.
• Track project timelines, budgets, variations, and technical queries.
• Prepare documentation and contribute to internal reporting on build status and risk areas.
• Work closely with the wider technical and operations teams to ensure vessels are built fit-for-purpose and delivered on time.

Requirements:

• Degree-qualified in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or similar.
• Experience in vessel newbuild projects.
• Strong understanding of vessel design, construction processes, class requirements, and project coordination.
• Willingness to travel regularly to yard locations as required.
• Prior experience in the construction of offshore vessels is preferred.
