Job Description
The Business and Financial Project Management Professional will lead cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and deliver projects that align with our organization's strategic goals and financial objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of business and financial projects from conception to completion
- Develop comprehensive project plans including objectives, scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budget requirements
- Create and monitor project budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring cost-effective delivery of solutions
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks through effective risk management strategies
- Lead and mentor cross-functional project teams, providing guidance and resolving conflicts
- Communicate project status, milestones, and financial metrics to stakeholders at all levels
- Prepare detailed financial reports and analyses for senior management
- Monitor project progress against established metrics and take corrective action when necessary
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts related to project implementations
- Facilitate post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned
Qualifications and Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Science, or related field required
- Technical education in Mechanical and Electrical field required
Experience
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in project management with focus on financial or business projects
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to closure
- Experience in budget development, financial analysis, and cost management
- Background in implementing financial systems or business process improvements
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
- Proficiency in financial analysis and budget management
- Experience with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, JIRA)
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
- Familiarity with financial systems and ERP implementations
- Understanding of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean)
Soft Skills
