ABOUT THE CLIENT

ABOUT THE ROLE

— As Startup Marketing Manager, you have a track record of building demand for startups, from prospect to purchase, to usage and advocacy. You will support Startup Marketing for JAPAC, ensuring the delivery of high-converting marketing experiences that meet Startup targets alongside sales.

You will support startup marketing at scale, build alignment with sales, and contribute to the overall success of the SMB startup business. This is a highly collaborative role working across multiple internal and external stakeholders to build a portfolio of programs and initiatives tailored for Startups in APAC.

Our job is to demonstrate how the company's products solve the world's problems—from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental.

Key Responsibilities
  • Orchestrate Google Cloud Startup programs in JAPAC, optimizing and iterating based on performance.
  • Partner with Startup regional sales leadership to align marketing strategies with business plans.
  • Deliver on targets and identify opportunities for future programs through data analysis.
  • Execute always-on demand generation programs aimed at acquiring startups and lifecycle programs for retaining and progressing startups.
  • Build partnerships with VC/PE firms and Startup Incubators to drive co-marketing initiatives.
  • Execute media-led advocacy programs at scale to communicate the value of Google Cloud to startups across APJ.
  • Drive cross-channel integrated programs across paid, owned, and earned media to engage startups, drive trials, build advocacy, and contribute to ARR.
  • Build and communicate customer wins and drive evangelization within the Startup community.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of marketing experience in a technology environment directly supporting sales teams, such as Field Marketing.
  • Experience in startup marketing roles in B2B tech.
  • Experience in building and managing startup communities.
  • Full-stack marketer with experience in both upper and lower funnel marketing.
  • Core competencies in navigating ambiguity, taking ownership, seeking challenges, and experimenting.
  • Strong planning and prioritization skills.
  • Experience in storytelling.
  • Experience in sales stakeholder management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience supporting VC and Incubator partnerships.
  • Ability to engage with sales stakeholders and convey clear business outcomes and narratives using data.
  • Experience managing and delivering scaled cross-channel integrated programs with clear goals.
  • Core experience in SEM, social media marketing, content syndication, and ABM.
  • Expertise in storytelling with a data-driven approach.
  • Expertise in advanced reporting and analytics.
