An established industry player is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to enhance warehouse operations and manage inventory effectively. This role involves optimizing processes, ensuring safety compliance, and training warehouse staff. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Optimize the warehouse operations, managing inventory storage, cylinder management, ensuring FIFO process, managing equipment utilization and liaising with the third-party warehouse,
• Replenish warehouse consumables and PPEs for warehousemen i.e. pallet (plastic and wooden), shrink wrap, air bags, wooden chokes, gloves, safety belt, bump caps, safety boots, etc.
• Create, modify, review SOPs/ SWPs and implement as a part of continual improvement.
• Carry out Cycle count and Stock count regularly to maintain stock accuracy
• Identify and arrange training for the warehousemen and carry out OJT for new employees.
• Print labels for the shipment using chemwatch, if required.
• Support in implementation of ISO 9001/ ISO 14001 in production
• Manage leave and Attendance of the Warehouse staff.
• Be a part of the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT), if required.
• Other duties and tasks may be assigned
Required / Desired Knowledge, Experiences and Skills:
• 1-3 years of experience in warehouse. Experience in chemical warehouse, an added advantage
• Must possess good computer skills. Knowledge of JDE/ Microsoft applications will be an added advantage
• Good communication skills
• Practical working knowledge of ISO 9001/ ISO 14001
• Forklift capability an added advantage
• Must be customer service oriented
Education/Certifications:
NITEC / Diploma in warehousing/ logistics an added advantage
Physical Working Environment:
The position requires the staff to work in the plant warehouse, guiding and supervising the warehouse staff. The staff may need to stand or sit for extended periods of time and may require lifting and/or move up to 25 Kg.
