A leading consulting firm in Singapore is seeking a financial analyst to provide proactive support to business units. Responsibilities include financial performance analysis, budget preparation, and managing statutory accounting. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Accountancy and relevant experience, especially in Big 4 firms.

Job Description
Provide pro-active support to the business units assigned. This would include review, analyse and provide recommendation on each revenue stream, project profitability and optimisation of costs.
Handle month end and year-end closing including intercompany reconciliations.
Provide comprehensive actual financial performance vs. budget variance and trend analysis of financials with insightful commentaries on a monthly basis.
Compute key financial indicators and measures to optimise the financial decision-making by Business Units.
Preparation of the annual budget and rolling forecast for the Business Units.
Provide advisory to Business Units on tax implications and potential tax exposure for existing projects and new business opportunities.
Manage the financial and statutory accounting for entities assigned.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting on a monthly basis.
Handle statutory audit, which includes preparation of financial statements as well as liaise with external auditors.
Handle tax matters which would include the quarterly GST filing as well as corporate tax.
Identify weak internal controls and propose mitigating measures to strengthen these areas.
Liaise with internal & external auditors.
Ad-hoc duties assigned and thismay include review of policies and continual process re-engineering.
Requirements
Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
At least 5 to 10 years of relevant working experience
Minimum 4 years of experience gained in Big 4 Audit Firms preferred
Knowledge of SAP S4 Hana is an advantage
Proficient in MS Office applications
Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment
Meticulous and able to work independently
Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work with stakeholders across different divisions
Strong business acumen, detail-oriented and hands-on
