Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and execution of merchandising strategies in line with brand goals and market trends.

  • Analyze sales, inventory, and market data to optimize product mix and stock levels.

  • Ensure efficient inventory distribution across stores and manage product forecasting and procurement.

  • Monitor sell-through rates and collaborate with retail and marketing teams on pricing, promotions, and replenishment plans.

  • Partner with marketing on visual merchandising and promotional campaigns.

  • Gather feedback from store teams on product performance and customer preferences.

  • Stay updated on luxury retail trends, competitors, and consumer behavior.

  • Attend buying appointments/wholesale shows and handle order placement and allocation.

  • Maintain product and purchase order data in the POS system.

  • Manage vendor and supplier relationships to ensure timely, quality deliveries.

  • Coordinate overseas shipments and documentation with forwarders and suppliers.

  • Address issues such as short shipments or defective items with suppliers and stores.

  • Assist in annual stock-taking activities.

Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.

  • 5 years of experience in merchandising, buying, or planning in the retail industry.

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel.

  • Understanding of retail financial metrics, sales forecasting, and inventory management.

  • Passion for fashion and retail trends.

  • Experience with POS systems is a plus.
