Job description:
Key Responsibilities
- The Manager, Strategic Food Sourcing, leads the procurement sourcing strategy to influence significant change management across Food Solutions, Business Units (BUs), and functions, supporting development of productivity initiatives, Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, Source-to-Pay (S2P), operational support, and internal controls and compliance.
- Lead and develop the strategic sourcing function, managing a portfolio across raw and non-raw material categories through the Collaborative Procurement Model (CPM), Category Management, and the 7-step sourcing process (7SSP).
- Collaborate with BUs/functions early in the 7SSP project development for sourcing, analysis, negotiation, contracting, and supplier management to maximize productivity benefits.
- Ensure monthly reporting via the CPM Track, maintain strong governance through Evaluation/Tender Committee meetings, and secure senior management sign-offs.
- Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders to manage total system costs and leverage procurement strategies.
- Manage and develop procurement team members and ensure compliance with 7SSP processes within food-related procurement.
- Coordinate with other procurement teams globally to share best practices and ensure visibility of category strategies.
- Identify regional/global sourcing opportunities to improve system efficiencies through category strategy management.
- Build analytics capabilities within the Strategic Sourcing team to support data-driven decision-making and demand management.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
- Work with supplier performance, risk management, and relationship teams to ensure timely feedback, audits, risk mitigation, and SRM initiatives.
- Partner with strategic suppliers on cost improvement initiatives aligned with category strategies.
- Manage procurement policies and procedures, ensuring consistent and compliant implementation across BUs/functions.
- Facilitate stakeholder approvals to ensure proper authorization before commitments.
Key Requirements
- Degree in Supply Chain, Commerce, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of strategic sourcing experience in procurement, preferably in FMCG, Hospitality, Retail, or Consulting.
- Experience in procurement, category management, strategic sourcing (e.g., 7SSP), consulting, or business operations.
- Experience in managing teams, training, and talent development.
- Proven ability to manage complex internal and external partnerships, outsourcing, insourcing, and change management projects.
