Job description

We are proud to be partnering with our client, a leading Southeast Asian conglomerate with a dynamic and expanding international presence. With a diversified portfolio across multiple industries and an ambitious investment focus on the APAC region, the organization is poised for its next phase of transformative growth. To support this evolution, there is a critical need to appoint a Group Head of Human Resources—a strategic HR leader who will align the people agenda with business ambitions and deliver scalable, future-focused HR solutions to enable sustained organizational performance.

Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Group CEO and working closely with the Board and executive leadership, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the group-wide HR strategy to support growth and transformation across global markets. You will be a key driver of organizational effectiveness, leading critical initiatives across global organizational design, talent strategy, leadership development, culture, and employee engagement. This role will also play a pivotal part in enabling business transformation through active involvement in M&A integrations, change management and aligning people capabilities to business priorities.

Your mandate will include strengthening the HR operating model, ensuring it is agile, data-driven, and aligned to business outcomes. You will lead a high-performing HR leadership team, providing mentorship, guidance, and governance across regional markets to foster consistency, innovation, and excellence in people practices.

Key Responsibilities

In this strategic role, you will act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team, shaping the people strategy to directly support the company’s ambitious growth and transformation goals. You will be responsible for designing and executing a cohesive, forward-looking HR agenda that builds organizational capability and fosters a culture of performance and accountability. A critical component of the role will involve leading transformation initiatives such as M&A integrations, organizational design shifts, and cultural evolution. You will oversee the development of leadership pipelines, enhance employee engagement programs, and institutionalize best-in-class talent practices across all operating companies. Through close collaboration with regional HR teams, business leaders, and external partners, you will ensure that HR strategies are locally relevant yet globally consistent. The role also carries accountability for governance and compliance across multiple markets, while promoting continuous improvement and innovation in HR service delivery.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate is a seasoned HR executive with a demonstrable track record of leading HR functions in large, complex, and highly matrixed multinational environments. You bring deep commercial acumen and a strategic mindset, with the ability to translate business needs into pragmatic, scalable people solutions. Experience across multiple sectors such as FMCG, F&B, logistics or distribution will be highly advantageous, as will prior exposure to fast-paced, high-growth environments. You are adept at navigating change and ambiguity, with hands-on experience in driving enterprise-wide transformation and integrating businesses post-merger. Your leadership style is collaborative and inclusive, with a strong ability to influence at Board and C-suite levels while also engaging and developing regional HR teams. Cultural dexterity, particularly across Asia Pacific markets, is essential, as is the willingness to travel extensively in support of business operations. This is a role for a resilient, forward-thinking HR leader who thrives on challenge and is passionate about building enduring organizational capability.
