Job description

The Edge Datacenter Marketing group is responsible for enabling a successful Go-To-Market motion, with key focus on customer acquisition, revenue growth, and profitability across the entire portfolio. This team works cross-functionally to define current and future business strategies, setting the direction for market leadership across all Edge Datacenter verticals.

The Global Distribution Marketing team manages the 4Ps—Product, Price, Placement, and Promotion—for Seagate’s distribution and downstream partner businesses. This team plays a pivotal role in driving business strategy and execution across Seagate’s broad portfolio of internal and external hard drives and SSDs. Focused on maximizing market reach and partner engagement, the team collaborates closely with sales, finance, and other marketing teams to ensure alignment across the channel ecosystem.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Develop and manage business plans: Create strategies to drive growth and market penetration, monitor market dynamics, and analyze campaign performance to optimize results.
  2. Product requirements and launches: Conduct market research, build strategic partnerships, plan product launches, and gather customer feedback to refine offerings.
  3. Channel alignment: Collaborate with sales and revenue operations to optimize product placement, messaging, and strategic positioning to maximize ROI and growth.
  4. Pricing strategy: Develop pricing models in collaboration with finance, monitor market trends, and analyze data to inform pricing decisions.
  5. Portfolio promotion: Present Seagate's market vision to customers and partners, develop content strategies, and manage promotional programs including MDF and partner promotions.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in distribution or channel marketing, with proven ability to develop strategies that drive growth
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Strong analytical skills with experience measuring program effectiveness

Preferred experience:

  • Prior experience in data storage or related technology industries
