Job Title: Senior Business Development

About the Role:

We are looking for a results-driven Senior Business Development Executive / Manager to join our Singapore office. The ideal candidate must have experience in in-house recruitment and a good understanding of the EPC and oil & gas industries. You will focus on expanding project opportunities and aligning client needs with our manpower solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive business development efforts in the oil & gas and EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) sectors, targeting project owners, engineering firms, and contractors.

  • Leverage your in-house recruitment background to deeply understand client talent needs and position Spemocean as a reliable manpower partner.

  • Coordinate internally with recruitment, operations, and finance teams to ensure feasibility and quality of client delivery.

  • Lead the proposal, quotation, and contract negotiation process, with support from legal and commercial teams.

  • Monitor regional trends, tenders, and potential partnerships in Singapore, Southeast Asia, and Middle East markets.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or client-facing roles.

  • Mandatory: At least 2–3 years of in-house recruitment experience, ideally in the oil & gas, energy, or EPC environment.

  • Good understanding of project-based workforce planning and contractor deployment cycles.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Mandarin proficiency is a strong advantage for liaising with Chinese-speaking clients or partners.

  • Independent, motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

Preferred Candidate:
  • In house recruitment experience is a must.

  • Experience working with regional EPC contractors or oilfield services providers.

  • Ability to bridge BD strategy with practical recruitment and delivery execution.
