Job summary

A leading company in Singapore is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to oversee facility maintenance tasks, coordinate with vendors, and ensure operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a degree in engineering and proven experience in industrial maintenance. Responsibilities include conducting preventive maintenance, diagnosing equipment malfunctions, and training staff on machinery operation. Qualifications

  • Facilities knowledge in fire safety system and waste water system is an advantage.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute facility maintenance tasks, including machinery and equipment upgrades, repairs, and troubleshooting.

  • Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs, parts procurement, and major overhauls; evaluate quotes and recommend cost-effective solutions.

  • Conduct preventive maintenance on production machinery (e.g., oil changes, belt replacements, electrical inspections, filter servicing) and maintain detailed records of all work performed.

  • Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.

  • Train end users on basic machinery operation and maintenance procedures.

  • Proactively identify critical spare parts for maintenance and potential failure risks, arranging timely repairs or replacements.

  • Oversee facility cleanliness by monitoring cleaning schedules and maintaining organized work and storage areas.

  • Supervise contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with in-house safety regulations and procedures.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational needs.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

  • Proven experience in industrial maintenance, machinery repair, or facilities management.

  • Facilities Knowledge in eg Fire safety system, waste water system (Chemical Line) is an advantage.

  • Crane, troubleshooting of electrical issues is an advantage.

  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills and familiarity with preventive maintenance best practices.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
