Job description

Location: Changi area

French MNC

1-2 year contract, renewable basis

Singaporeans only

Salary up to $3.2K depending on experience

1) Report to the Project Manager on work-related or mental health issues concerning contractors and staff.

2) Implement and ensure compliance with Singapore WSH regulations and customer site safety requirements.

3) Conduct risk assessments, identify hazards, and recommend corrective measures to enhance workplace safety.

4) Train contractors and employees on Environment, Safety, and Health (ESH) matters using UMC training materials and other relevant resources.

5) Assist in planning and executing safety training programs to raise awareness.

6) Ensure compliance with work permit requirements (e.g., hot works, work at height, opening raised floorboards).

7) Conduct daily safety inspections and monitor on-site contractors to ensure adherence to safety regulations.

8) Supervise and inspect gas line breakage and dismantling activities to maintain safe operations.

9) Investigate and report safety incidents and accidents to the company and customer.

10) Prepare and manage safety-related documentation, including Permit to Work and daily reports.

11) Conduct daily toolbox meetings in the presence of the customer.

12) Track and update contractor man-hours on a weekly basis.

13) Verify and distribute work permits to contractors before they enter UMC and commence work.

14) Organize and conduct a mass toolbox meeting every third week of the month, with photos attached to the monthly safety report for submission. Any other ad hoc duties.

Qualifications:

• Experience in training and safety compliance.

  Knowledge of WSH regulations and workplace safety practices.

  WSH Safety Coordinator Certificate from an approved institute.

  Possession of relevant safety certifications (e.g., BCSS, WAH Assessor) is an advantage.
