Nanyang Technological University, Singapore

Part-Time Lecturer for DN1003 Foundation 3D

The School of Art, Design and Media (ADM) at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, invites qualified candidates to apply as Part-time Lecturer for DN1003 Foundation 3D. The Part-time Lecturer is expected to teach an undergraduate course commencing in August 2025.

This Year 1 Foundation course introduces students to the visual grammar that underpins the creation and development of three-dimensional form and space. Students are guided with appropriate precedent studies while engaging in hands-on studio projects involving differing degrees of construction and making.

Through a series of exercises and assignments, students are introduced to the core skills and vocabulary of the 3D design process: form, space, structure, volume and relationships. They will explore the fundamentals of a visual language and move towards increasingly imaginative projects that will allow them to construct conceptual and material abstractions.

Candidates should have at least a master’s and/or PhD in Art, Architecture or Design related field with a track record of design and creative practice. Any past teaching experience at Undergraduate Level is preferred. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in a Design field and sufficient relevant industry experience may also be considered in exceptional cases.
