Role: Senior Linux Support Engineer

Experience: 7 years & above

Working hours: 8 am to 5 pm

Type of Employment: Contract (renewable)

Job Description:

Platform:

• RHEL Administration background, knowledge of SSH, NFS, Firewall, Apache Reverse Proxy & Modsecurity, Docker, Shell scripting, and YAML (Ansible files)
• ActiveMQ setup and configuration
• Docker / Podman setup and configuration
• Apache httpd setup
• Ansible playbook management

Database (Oracle):

• Provisioning for UAT/Production environments in Oracle and PostgreSQL
• Knowledge of RHEL, Rocky Linux, and Windows OS
• Understanding of Oracle/PostgreSQL RAC, HA, DR, standby configurations
• Proficient in backup methods (e.g., expdp/impdp, pg_dump, RMAN, pg_basebackup)
• SQL and PL/SQL for data patches and scripts

Support (including verification and troubleshooting):

• Apache httpd troubleshooting
• Reverse proxy troubleshooting
• OWASP CRS tuning (WAF) troubleshooting
• ActiveMQ troubleshooting
• Linux command-line for file access
• Java JAR execution
• SQL queries for record checking
• Logs analysis mindset
• Basic networking troubleshooting (ping, traceroute, nslookup, etc.)
