Position Overview

The Solutions Architect designs and develops architecture solutions to meet business requirements. He/She applies highly developed specialist knowledge and skills to analyse the functionality and constraints of recommended architecture solutions across multiple systems, platforms, and applications. He/She manages high-level design options and applies architectural principles to ensure the most appropriate design choices are made. He/She ensures compliance with technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platform standards.

He/She collaborates with key stakeholders to ensure product-market fit. He/She adopts an analytical approach in developing innovative solutions to meet business needs. He/She enjoys working in a team setting to implement solutions effectively.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Understand business requirements

• Liaise with clients to determine requirements and define project scope
• Develop understanding of the client's system specifications, work practices, and the nature of business
• Understand the enterprise architecture

Design the solution architecture

• Develop a solution design that fulfills business requirements and aligns with enterprise architecture
• Perform systems modelling, simulation, and analysis to ensure soundness of the solution
• Analyse impact of the solution on client's overall business processes and systems to mitigate risks
• Recommend adoption of new technologies and applications to optimize solutions

Implement Solution

• Develop technical roadmaps for solution implementation
• Assist delivery team in technical testing and implementation
• Support risk identification and develop mitigation strategies
• Foster continuous improvements in design processes, models, and approaches
• Review prototypes, blueprints, and scope to ensure business requirements are met
• Support analysis of functionality and constraints across systems
• Drive compatibility, interoperability, stability, and usability of architecture
• Support clients in resolving technical issues

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years as an architect, with at least 15 years of experience in IT system implementation
• Knowledge of web-based architectures, integration methods, and strategies supporting non-functional requirements such as resilience and performance. Experience with health IT systems, HL7, and FHIR is a plus.
• For Digital Services architect role: experience with cloud platforms like AWS, microservices, DevOps tools, containers (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift), serverless architectures, and cloud implementation is highly preferred.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics
