An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Safety Officer to enhance workplace safety standards. This role involves investigating accidents, developing safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. You will conduct emergency drills, train staff on safety procedures, and collaborate with various stakeholders to maintain a secure environment. Investigate unexpected accidents, establish their causes, and recommend preventive measures to avoid future occurrences.
Develop, implement, and enforce safety measures and protocols to ensure compliance with local safety regulations, including emergency response plans and risk assessments.
Conduct emergency drills, document findings, and train employees on fire safety rules and procedures.
Stay informed of workplace safety regulations in accordance with regulatory standards.
Identify and manage safety hazards and risks within the property.
Review, analyze, and evaluate workplace safety measures to implement preventive actions.
Collaborate with stakeholders (engineering, security, fire safety, authorities) to perform regular safety inspections of equipment and facilities.
Perform daily safety checks within the premises, remove hazards, and guide accident prevention and fire safety efforts.
Coordinate and supervise occupants during firefighting and evacuation procedures in emergencies.
Organize campaigns, training courses, competitions, and activities to promote fire safety awareness among guests and employees. Develop and conduct training programs on the use of safety equipment and maintaining a safe working environment.
Develop, implement, and execute emergency response plans for various safety hazards, including maintaining the Fire Safety guidebook.
Maintain records of safety incidents, preventive measures, and inspections.
Ensure proper documentation of workplace safety and health records.
Conduct weekly audits, hold monthly WSH meetings, implement risk assessments and action plans, and promote sustainability practices.
Possession of ISO certification is required.
