Job description

Our client, a leader in industrial manufacturing, is looking for a Service Engineer to join their team. No experience in welding needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Weld various alloy steel components of crane structures and booms using appropriate welding methods such as Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), or Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), depending on the material and repair scope.
  2. Apply standard operating procedures in inspection and assembly of crane components including jibs, hydraulic systems, and undercarriages.
  3. Use cutting, grinding, and machining tools to prepare or refurbish components for repair or replacement.
  4. Operate automated welding and fabrication machinery as part of structural or mechanical repair processes.
  5. Support development and testing of new repair techniques for both mobile and crawler crane systems.
  6. Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action planning for recurring component failures.
  7. Carry out additional duties as delegated by the Crane Repair Supervisor or Workshop Manager.
