About the team

The Billing Team at Airwallex is transforming how businesses handle pricing, billing, and invoicing. Our mission is to create a seamless, scalable, and transparent billing platform that supports our growth and empowers our customers to manage their billing needs easily.

Our team develops a next-generation billing platform with flexible pricing strategies and intuitive invoicing solutions, serving as a cornerstone for businesses to bill and get paid effortlessly. We leverage cutting-edge technology to ensure our solutions are easy to adopt and integrate, providing a robust billing experience for all users.

The engineering team operates across Shanghai and Singapore, collaborating with cross-functional teams globally. You will engage with domains such as GTPN, PA, Scale, Issuing, and Spend to automate end-to-end pricing and billing processes. Your work will contribute to building a platform that empowers businesses worldwide and makes a tangible operational difference.

What you’ll do

Join us to realize a future where our billing platform not only supports Airwallex internally but also serves as an easy-to-integrate product for our customers. You will work with talented professionals to deliver critical features and solutions, building the next-generation billing platform that empowers businesses globally.

This role is based in Singapore.

Responsibilities
  1. Coding with the latest React and Typescript to build high-quality products.
  2. Develop micro front-end web applications with domain-based design architecture, integrating seamlessly using a single SPA framework and best practices.
  3. Leverage Apollo GraphQL as the backend for frontend (BFF) to build scalable, high-performance Node.js services with simple, contact-based backend integration.
  4. Collaborate with the design team to build a design system and common components, providing a universal UI/UX experience across different domains, benchmarking Material-UI and Ant Design.
  5. Deliver NPM packages and library widgets, including open-source projects, for easy client integration.
  6. Utilize GCP & Aliyun K8S, Bucket CDN, and Cloudflare to deploy micro front-end and Node.js services following GitLab CI/CD best practices.
  7. Design high-quality unit and end-to-end tests using React Testing Library, Test Render, and Cypress, aiming for 80%+ coverage.
  8. Use Contentful and Next.js to build no-code/serverless CMS systems for corporate sites and branding landing pages.
  9. Engage actively with the frontend guild, research emerging technologies, and drive initiatives to build high-quality products and address tech debts.
Who you are

We seek candidates who meet the minimum qualifications. Preferred qualifications are a plus but not mandatory.

Minimum qualifications
  • Over 3 years of front-end development experience and more than 2 years of front-end architecture experience.
  • Experience developing large-scale financial web systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, ECMAScript 6+, and TypeScript.
  • Proficient in React, Vue, Angular, and related tech stacks.
  • Experience with Emotion, Styled-Components, SCSS.
  • Familiar with Material-UI, Ant Design, Bootstrap, or other CSS frameworks.
  • Knowledge of HTTP(S) protocols and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with Webpack, Polyfill, Rollup.js.
  • Experience building BFF using Node.js.
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience in front-end framework development.
  • Contributions to well-known blogs, public accounts, or open-source projects.
  • Overseas study or work experience.
  • Experience with GraphQL, Next.js, Redis, RDBMS.
  • Experience with tracking and data analytics tools such as GA, GTM.
  • Skills in CSS animations, Zeplin, Abstract, H5 (mobile responsiveness), UI/UX design.
  • Knowledge of BDD, TDD, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Nginx, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with Java, Kotlin, Shell scripting.
